We did it! Year one of Ashland Bike Company is in the books and it was fantastic! To sum it up, we served well over 600 unique customers in our first year and sent over 220 brand new bicycles out of the shop to our riders. We’ve hosted 4 cycling races, 2 charity rides, and 3 group rides every week this season. Ashland now has a women’s cycling group which rides every Monday night, Wednesday Worlds race training ride, and the Thursday night Ashland Group Ride (AGR). To add to the huge growth of cycling in Ashland, we’ve established the Ashland City Bike Project, which has the mission of bringing more cycling opportunities to Ashland youth. The first action of the ACBP was to donate 24 Specialized mountain bikes to students in the Ashland City Schools.
As a result of the tremendous year, we have had to expand from our original 1200 sq ft storefront into our new, massive space at 30 W Main St. This new space offers us the ability to do many fun things in the future, one of those being Ashland’s 1st ever bike “yard sale.” This event begins with our Christmas in July Sales Event in which any 2017 bikes are discounted to rock bottom pricing. In addition, we are hosting a bike consignment and used product sale beginning with bike drop off beginning July 25th and culminating with the yard sale on July 27th and 28th. Customers can bring their clean, used bikes and equipment to the shop beginning on the 25th to sell in the yard sale. All items sold will have a 20% consignment fee, but the rest is cash in your pocket.
The Christmas in July Sales Event will feature the lowest prices we can offer so check with us if you have a bike on the wish list. Product inventory changes daily, and these prices are only available on in-store bikes and equipment. Check our Online Catalog to see what inventory is in, and come down to the shop to get the lowest price.
